Research Topics:

Jeevan Toor is a Research Assistant at The Arctic Institute and contributes to Institute’s flagship weekly publication, The Arctic This Week (TATW), where she is in charge of the ‘health and society’ section.

Jeevan holds a BSc in Anthropology from Durham University and an MSc in International Development from St. Andrews University. Through these degrees she has pursued an interest in issues of Inuit health, with her master’s thesis exploring impacts of climate change on environment and health. She is currently holding a research position with a team at the University of Manitoba who is working on a project about Inuit health and wellness in conjunction with the Manitoba Inuit Association.

Jeevan is a PhD student at University College London, and will be exploring urban Inuit youth mental health in collaboration with colleagues in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
