Denmark’s Ministry of Higher Education and Science’s Forum for Arctic Research is organising a breakout session at the Arctic Circle Assembly 2018 about International Collaboration in Greenland and Arctic Science. Marc Jacobsen’s presentation entitled ‘Science as a political currency in the Arctic’ will focus on how science is both used to enhance the cooperative milieu at the top of the world, and to legitimize geostrategic presence by nation states.
